Fendi runway Shoes

In Fendi on October 15, 2010 at 1:55 pm

These beautiful shoes are from the current Fendi collection, fall/winter 2010/11. You may remember them if you have seen the fashion show’s pictures. Those Fendi runway boots have a unique model which is elegant and casual in the same time. The exclusive design is mainly minimal, the only feature is the rubber top cap which distinguishes all the footwear created for this season by Fendi. This rubber detail is also proposed on the Fendi pumps. They come in various different colours and versions in many kind of leathers and fabrics like velvet. I think these are the most glamorous for winter. What do you think?

In Balenciaga, News&Events on October 7, 2010 at 1:29 pm

Patent leather and masculine attitude make the Balenciaga’s collection different from the others presented at the Paris Fashion Week 2011. Nicolas Ghesquière, the creative director of the fashion house, have designed very original creations, proposing a different idea of sensuality. Models come out with boy’s haircuts, flat boots and black outfits brighten up with vivid colours. There are many men’s items, like the shirts, presented in dotted and coloured patterns, made of sheer fabrics. All the collection expresses a real androgynous charm. White on the final pieces of the collection, follows the main trend of the next summer: the total white look.

Valentino at Paris Fashion Week 2011

In News&Events, Valentino on October 6, 2010 at 1:59 pm

Ruched mini-dresses and shirtdresses are now the central pieces of the new Valentino spring/summer 2011 collection presented at the Paris Fashion Week. The designers, Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri, offer very delicate styles that are perfect for the young woman. A subtle femininity comes from those creations adorned with ruffles, ruches and embroideries. While sheer fabrics and lace are the materials that give a special allure to the short and long dresses. The dominating colours of the Valentino’s summer are white, beige, black, peach and, of course, red. While some vivid colours on accessories create contrasts with the dusky colours of dresses. The final creations of the show are very chic long gowns, perhaps we will see them on the red carpet.

Costume National at Paris Fashion Week 2011

In Costume National, News&Events on October 5, 2010 at 1:01 pm

Ennio Capasa with this new collection demonstrates once again that “less is more”. Those simple cuts are enriched with vivid and plain colours like beige, turquoise, orange, red, blue and black which are the main features of the collection. Silk, leather and organza are combined creating shiny and opaque contrasts between the tops and skirts of dresses. While blazers have special crossed band fastener instead than buttons. Soft long dresses in those bright shades are essential chic pieces of the collection but the most elegant outfits are undoubtedly the total black ones with sheer details on the neckline and on the sleeves. Costume National used minimalism in a classy way proposing very elegant options for the next summer.

Versace at Milan Fashion Week 2011

In News&Events, Versace on October 1, 2010 at 1:46 pm

For the spring/summer 2011 collection Donatella Versace has left apart ruches and ruffles, preferring rigour and precise cuts. The entire collection seems being dedicated to Gianni Versace, due to the fact that is whole decorated with the Greek pattern that he loved. Although dresses are really severe and strict, sensuality comes through anyway showing off an elegant and original woman. That was the focus of the designer, who has matched brilliantly vivid colours and decorations with cut-outs that expose the back and the shoulders.

The Ermanno Scervino fashion show took place yesterday during the Milan Fashion Week 2011. The spring summer 2011 collection presented were one of the most interesting, showing off a kind of femininity very delicate and elegant. All the creations expose the legs which are the focus of the collections. Even if white is the main shade, turquoise, nude and brown are present anyway to highlight they are the favourite colours of the fashion house.

Gianfranco Ferrè at Milan Fashion Week 2011

In Gianfranco Ferré, News&Events on September 28, 2010 at 10:27 am

The Gianfranco Ferrè collection, presented at the Milan Fashion Week has something that distinguish it from the others. The feature is undoubtedly the class of those creations which are simple and finely decorated at the same time. Black and white is, even in this collection, widely employed in dresses and gowns. But, in this case, black is a ribbon that crosses the silhouette on a white chiffon. Trenches and women suits can’t be missed while dresses are the main focus of the two designers, Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi. Python leather, macramé and sequin are the elements that cover dresses, with fine embroideries and plisse. Precious materials on soft fabrics that embrace gently the body falling slightly. A great collection that deserves our attention.

Fashion colours

In styles and trends on August 3, 2010 at 9:56 am

As I could notice from the fall/winter collections previews and from the urban street style the main trend of the next season is a smart use of colours. Combine colours in outfits is not an easy think for everyone and sometimes tips can be useful even for the most fashion conscious. Have a look to those outfits chosen for the fall winter season and find you inspiration for your own look. As seen from many new collections dark colours are mixed with vivid colours like orange, yellow or red. This is the key of a smashing look, just try to match black or grey with ochre or yellow to get a look from the catwalk.

Foulard fashion

In Christian Dior, designers and labels, Gianni Versace, Gucci on October 20, 2008 at 2:42 pm

Synonymous of elegance and class, foulard has always been considered a distinctive element over the years, an accessory whose importance never ended. And fashion proves what just said with the revival of this useful accessory.

 Worn around the head…

as a scarf…

attached on a bag…

as a belt…

This lovely piece of silk gained the favour of designers. Designers left their print on the label making their style recognizable on foulards too. Below some foulards from Gucci, Christian Dior and Versace.

Interesting approach by Gucci, with a gipsy style pattern and dark colours.

Gucci:

Christian Dior, in fact, plays more with colours and geometrical round shapes creating a light effect.

Christian Dior:

The interest for geometrical shapes affects Versace too, even if he prefers squared forms to round ones. The use of colour in Versace is evident too, yellow is predominant with lovely combinations: yellow and lilac, yellow and fuchsia, yellow and white.
