Fashion Colour Trend 2010: Yellow

In styles and trends on September 13, 2010 at 10:49 am

This year, the most fashionable colour of the chilly season seems to be yellow. The fact that this warm tone is largely employed on wintry collections sounds a bit strange. Usually it has been used on spring/summer collections bringing summer to mind like any other warm colours. However, the latest trend in fact of style says that yellow is a good choice for winter outfits. It has been seen on the catwalks of very important fashion shows of the most famous fashion houses, like Fendi, Dolce&Gabbana and Emporio Armani.

Fendi has made various items which are enriched with this lively colour, like skirts, blazers and even boots. Those items are the key pieces of the collection, which are mixed and matched with long huge skirts, and classy coats. The shade employed is such a kind of mustard, quite similar to ochre: a colour that can be perfectly combined with brown and green as well.

This dress proposed by Dolce&Gabbana expresses a young style without compromising on elegance. The bright yellow velvet is adorned with black lace decorations on the neckline. Versace offers this shade on coats and leather jackets, mixing it with black and dark grey dresses. While Emporio Armani use a different shade which is more similar to orange, on those designs. All of them express class and sophistication. Surely this colour makes a very original effect combined with classic wintry colour such as grey, black or dark green. It worth to take some inspirations from this newest collections and try it on your outfits!
