Prada - Fall/Winter 2010
Studs are without doubts one of the most remarkable trends of the current season. Anyway, the exceptional quality distinguishing the brand Prada is that it can create unique accessories with a distinctive style. The new Prada studded suede pumps are a perfect example. These shoes of the Fall/Winter collection 2010 match an exclusive design with luxury material and care for details to be fashionable with elegance and sobriety.
High heels have always had a sensual appeal, and a synonymous to femininity. This season, different to the “normal” heels, we find some really architectonic highnesses. Plateau, stilettos, chunky heels and wedge heels appear to be created simply to challenge our sense of vertigo!
Subtle and curved towards the sole is the icon heel of Roger Vivier, global evergreen when it comes to stilettos. Miu Miu on the other hand goes for bamboo this spring/summer collection 2009, where pumps with maxi platform and heel made in cork are found. This last material can be find as well in the Christian Dior heels combined with shinny colours.
Definitely more rock and rule-breaking the style signed Gucci and the no famous Iman sandals, half stiletto half gladiator sandal. Super plateau for Giuseppe Zanotti and for Prada and its platform sandals in raffia.
Gucci made it safari wild for their s/s Ad Campaign, with khaki shades mixed with ocean blue, purple and red. Models striking particular poses in a place looking like the jungle, with big leafs, grass and warm sun rays infiltrating through the tree limbs.
The Gucci s/s collection is fresh and polished. The contrast between the delicate sheer kaftans and tunics and the more strict safari jackets and blazers creates together a great atmosphere.
Among these wonderful creations I must mention the fabulous Iman triple strap sandals with their tremendously high heel and plateau, seen on various celebrities such as Rihanna, Gisele Bündchen and Drew Barrymore. A true success this spring/summer, and an absolute must have!
One of the Italian brand’s so called icons is the Jackie bag. Designed and created originally in the fifties this bag soon became Jacqueline Onassis’ favourite accessory, there for the name Jackie.
The original and modern bag in its first version, has maintained its peculiar shape, with rounded angles, half moon shape and the cylindrical handles. Now simply richer, with even more astonishing details, such as the tassels with bamboo details, the seams, now in various dimensions and in a new and softer structure. We find the Gucci Jackie bag in a gorgeous red colour, brown leather Guccissima and as well in GG Crystal fabric.
In the menswear department we find a truly elegant and sophisticated handbag in GG fabric (see picture), which can both be carried in the hand and as a shoulder bag. With white and light brown leather stripes in the middle the bag is particular and original, perfect for a man who knows the significance of stylishness.
As the summer is arriving, you must start thinking on what you should be packing down for the holidays. These five must-have for your beach holiday are neccessary for your fashion surviving! Assuming you are going for a warm holiday, perhaps in the mediterrinean or Soutern America, these are the summer hits you must remember to pack:
1. Exotic kaftans
Of course you need a striking kaftan for your sunny beach days! It’s the most desired beach accessory at the moment, let your fantasy flow choosing between Roberto Cavalli animal prints, Etro floral print and Gucci pattern.

As seen on the red carpets as well in the magazines, white is without any doubts the colour of the season! Everything becomes fresh, delicate and summerish when it’s white. In addition it’s chic, romantic and modern at the same time. The total white look is the look of the moment not to miss!
Go for total white dresses with same coloured accessories, where some minimal detail might be silver coloured to create a more modern look. Or else for a more street chic look, combine a white soft silk blouse and a white jacquard jacket with a pair of white trousers (even strapped for a more vintage look) and a matching heel perhaps with a tree sole to avoid the look gets too forced. How ever accessories are a great ‘tool’ to use for ‘modelling’ your look for a more personal fit. Using your favourite bracelets, rings or necklace you get the desired authentic and relaxed look!
The Prada Ad Campaign this year is original and funny, models looking like they are made of porcelain but still so vivid in their expressions. Made in different themes, I particularly like this photo where the theme no doubt must be python.
The photograph contains a sleeveless python printed cotton dress (seen as well on the red carpet), python printed skirts and a python printed jacket with white borders. An incredible mix, we’ll find the print as well on the different sized bags! The colours goes from black to white trough beige and light brown tones. The style is sharp and elegant into the smallest detail, not failing once!
As the python print this warm and sunny season has become a trend it’s a wise move investing . For an easy and causal look choose a python printed bag or a python printed heel, but if you’re brave go for the knee-long python printed dress in grey or reddish tones. It’s a secure move and a guaranteed hit!
At the Cannes Film Festival, at the opening of the French movie ‘Un prophete’ by Jacques Audiard of course many stars and celebrities attended. Among those the writer and scriptwriter Amanda Sthers, wearing an orange strapless mini with beige Prada knotted Sandals.

Feminine and sensual, the new Cesare Paciotti shoe spring/summer collection 2009 is recognized by tremendously high heels, details and plateau. The tones are eye-catching like fuchsia and purple, precious as gold and silver and elegant like black.
As king of the collection we find the crocodile, printed all over the sandals and pumps. Thoug the real newcomer, this spring/summer, is the tattoo decorated sandal, elaborated with pattern shaped cut- away, which give sthe shoes a unique and fairy tale look.
The striking Iman Gucci sandal, is one of the new spring/summer collection 2009’s principal models designed by Frida Giannini. This marvelous feminine gladiator sandal has a heel 105 mm high plus the plateau.

At the Empire Cinema Leicester Square in London for the world premiere of the new thriller State of play the British singer Jamelia showed up looking very marine…
That’s right in a striped and sequin embellished mini D&G dress, inspired as known by the sea, marine symbols and far away sailors!
Jamelia picked a more neutral or should we say delicate, but still elegant version of the D&G s/s collection’s particular and fairy tale inspired creations. With the white D&G mini dress she wore a pair of blue navy suede heels.

Purple was the colour of last winter but is still top fashion, in fact on the international catwalks purple was one of the leading colours! This Spring and Summer our top designer’s have decided to combine many different shades and tones of purple like; lilac, lavender, violet and plum.
